We Were Called
Cockroaches.
We Became a
Movement.

On May 15, 2026, the Chief Justice of India dismissed unemployed youth as cockroaches. Within 48 hours, over 40,000 citizens reclaimed the insult and turned it into a movement. We are the Cockroach Janata Party — and we do not squash easily.

"The young people who questioned the system… they are like cockroaches."

Chief Justice Surya Kant Supreme Court of India · May 15, 2026

We heard that. And we answered.

Born from an Insult.
Built into a Force.

Every movement has a moment of ignition. Ours came from a courtroom. When the highest judicial authority in the land chose to silence dissent with contempt — comparing India's unemployed youth to insects — something unexpected happened. Instead of retreat, there was resistance.

Citizens from every corner of the country took the word cockroach and made it their own. Teachers, students, daily-wage workers, small business owners, first-time voters — all registering under one name. Not in anger alone, but in determination.

Within 48 hours, 40,000 had joined. Within weeks, one lakh. The Cockroach Janata Party was not planned in a boardroom or funded by a party machinery. It grew the way cockroaches always have — through cracks in the system, unstoppable and unafraid.

A Nation Where No Citizen
Is Counted Out

We do not seek power for its own sake. We seek accountability — from every institution, every elected representative, every system that was built with public money and public trust.

01

Accountable Institutions

Courts, commissions, and elected bodies must answer to the people they serve — not to the interests they protect. No golden parachutes. No revolving doors.

02

Free and Fearless Press

Democracy survives only when the fourth estate is independent. We fight for a media landscape owned by no billionaire, captured by no party, beholden to no benefactor.

03

True Representation

Half the population cannot hold a third of power. We demand fifty percent representation for women at every level — not in promise, but in law and in practice.

04

Electoral Integrity

Every vote is sacred. The deletion of a single legitimate vote is not an administrative error — it is a crime against democracy. We will treat it as one.

05

Loyalty to People

Elected representatives are chosen by citizens, not parties. Defectors who betray their mandate must face consequences that make opportunism impossible.

06

Voice for the Invisible

The unemployed, the informal worker, the first-generation voter — they built this nation too. Their concerns belong at the center of every national conversation.

The Manifesto.
Read It. Share It.

Five demands. Not a hundred. Not negotiable. These are the minimum conditions for a democracy that deserves the name.

  1. 01

No Post-Retirement Rewards for the Judiciary

No Chief Justice shall be granted a Rajya Sabha seat or any executive appointment as a post-retirement reward. The judiciary must be free from the incentive of political favour.

    Judicial Independence
  2. 02

    Election Rigging Is National Terrorism

If any legitimate vote is deleted — in any state, under any party — the Chief Election Commissioner shall be held accountable under UAPA. Stripping a citizen of their vote is not an error. It is terrorism against democracy.

    Electoral Integrity
  3. 03

    50% Representation for Women — Not 33%

Women shall receive fifty percent reservation in Parliament without increasing its total strength. Additionally, fifty percent of all Cabinet positions shall be reserved for women. Not someday. Now.

    Gender Justice
  4. 04

    Break Up Monopoly Media

All media licences held by Ambani and Adani conglomerates shall be cancelled to create space for genuinely independent journalism. The bank accounts of captured-media anchors shall be investigated under public audit.

    Press Freedom
  5. 05

    End the Defection Economy

Any MLA or MP who crosses the floor shall be barred from contesting elections and from holding any public office for twenty years. The era of Aaya Ram, Gaya Ram ends with this movement.

    Political Loyalty

Every State, Every District

Our members span 28 states and over 400 districts. This is not a movement from one city, one class, or one community. It belongs to all of India.

🔓

No Caste, No Creed

We do not ask your religion, your caste, or your income. We ask only: do you believe every citizen deserves a government that is honest, accountable, and responsive?

📣

People-Powered Reach

No ad budgets. No paid promotions. Every member who shared their CJP card became a volunteer. Word of mouth built this — and word of mouth will grow it further.

🧱

Clear, Non-Negotiable Demands

We do not traffic in vague promises. Five specific demands. Every member knows them. Every opponent knows them. No ambiguity, no revision, no retreat.

We Survive Everything

They tried ridicule. It made us stronger. They tried silence. We grew louder. Cockroaches do not need ideal conditions. We thrive wherever we are planted.
